RC One Racing has been a long-time dream of mine, going all the way back to the early 1990s. I raced primarily off-road RC, which came naturally since I was also an avid motocross racer. I competed at every level of motocross—from beginner to pro—and quickly realized how many skills transferred directly into RC racing. The feeling is surprisingly similar to racing a real car or motorcycle.
I raced RC from 1992 to 1994, and those years were a blast. I loved the racing, the travel, meeting new people, and spending time with friends. As life changed—starting a family and running my current business, Magic Racing—RC racing took a back seat.
Fast forward to 2014. During a period of major personal life changes, I found my way back to RC racing. Honestly, it saved me at a time when I was questioning everything. Looking back now, I truly believe things happen for a reason. Someone above had a plan, and I just had to trust it.
In 2015, I introduced my son, Ryder, to RC racing—and he fell in love instantly. Being able to race and travel together, sharing experiences all over the country, has been priceless. Those moments are something I’ll always cherish.
In 2016, I met Beth, and my life immediately changed for the better. She is supportive, smart, understanding, hardworking, and—most importantly—an incredible partner. From that point forward, the search for the perfect building for RC One Racing truly began.
From 2016 to 2018, we searched relentlessly for the right location. Every piece of the puzzle had to fit. In early 2019, we finally found it. The process began—but not without challenges. Setbacks and delays from both the builder and the city tested our patience, and at times we almost walked away. In the end, we trusted the process and believed that if it was meant to be, it would work out.
By late 2019, things finally started coming together, even though RC One was originally planned to open in the fall. But COVID arrived and another setback incurred, but we pushed forward.
In 2020, RC One Racing opened its doors.
Our goal is to bring RC off-road racing to the next level and remove the outdated perception of “toy cars.” What we race are real race cars, built with precision and driven with skill. We want to help racers get started the right way, offering beginner-friendly classes while still challenging experienced competitors.
We work extremely hard to create fun, flowing track layouts with a consistent racing surface. Our facility was designed with racers and families in mind and includes:
Above all, RC One Racing is about community, passion, and sharing the sport we love.
We hope you enjoy RC racing as much as we do—and we look forward to racing with you.
